The Horsefly Skating Rink is officially open

Horsefly Rink Reopening Celebration
The rink at Horsefly officially reopened January 11th 2020

Horsefly’s skating rink has been rebuilt over the past year, and it is a popular gathering place for Horsefly residents.

The Horsefly & District Board of Trade applied for and received $4,500 from the Williams Lake Community Forest Granting Program in the 2018 application intake period.  Now after a year of hard work, their project to rebuild the Horsefly Community Skating Rink is complete.  The official re-opening of the rink was held on January 11th 2020 and the WLCF was pleased to help the community celebrate their completion of a great community-driven initiative.

WLCF reps were on-hand with a brief presentation to community members, and to announce the 2020 grant recipients

Benches for skate lacing or rest
There are 2 great bench areas where skaters can take a break or tie up their laces at the rink.

Extensive planning and much hard work have paid off, as the rink is absolutely great! Be sure to check it out next time you’re in Horsefly.
