Students reduce fuels on the forest floor while learning at the Community Forest's Flatrock Block

The Williams Lake Community Forest is a great place for hands-on learning.  Its 2 parcels of land (“Flatrock / Ne Sextine” by Elser, and “Potato Mountain / Peskwenkwinem” by Big Lake & Horsefly) are both easily accessible by school bus and can provide a variety of back-drops for practical learning opportunities.  Forestry Professionals can be available to work with teachers and devise a great field trip, so reach out before you plan your next class trip.
