We received this note from the Williams Lake Salvation Army regarding their 2026 WLCF Grant of $5,000.
Dear Williams Lake Community Forest Team,
On behalf of The Salvation Army Food Bank, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous grant support. Your contribution is helping us respond to the growing needs within our community.
Over the past month, our food bank usage has increased by an additional 5%, and we are currently up 9.22% compared to this time last year. With the continued rise in demand, your funding has allowed us to purchase essential food items to help keep our shelves stocked for families and individuals accessing our services.
To date, we have made two purchases for the food bank
- $2,384.40 for canned vegetables, beans, peanut butter, and tomato sauce.
- $2,241.12 for beans, Hamburger Helper, Stove Top stuffing, and pasta.
These staple items are in high demand and make a meaningful difference for those facing food insecurity in our community.
We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and support. Thank you for investing in the well-being of our community and helping ensure local families have access to food during challenging times.
