Horsefly Hall Update

The WLCF’s Granting Program has provided funds to assist the Horsefly Community Club with the kitchen portion of the Horsefly Community Hall upgrades.  The Horsefly Buzz article below outlines many of the other upgrades that were done to the hall so that the kitchen project could resume.

The group of volunteers took several months to instead re-plumb the entire building, drilled a new well, replaced all the water lines, replaced valves, sinks and faucets, and insulated. A big job!

The WLCF is funding cabinetry, stainless counter-tops, modern LED ceiling lights and more. The volunteers at Horsefly have a self-imposed completion date of September 30, and are hopeful they can make it. Several contractors are having supplier issues, and the new cabinetry won’t arrive until mid-September. The group will do their best to wrap it up and hold a grand opening sometime in October. It has been a long, long project and everyone is eager to finish.
