Climbing higher, being safer

Thanks to our sponsors

Covid-19 may have significantly delayed the project, but the Williams Lake Climbing Association’s directors & volunteers persevered to realize their dream and are enjoying a new, safer, cleaner, better fitting mat in the Bouldering Wall at Lake City Secondary School.

The WL Climbing Association applied for funds from the WL Community Forest in the fall of 2019 and hoped to complete the project by Dec 1st,  2020.  However with Covid-closed facilities, reduced club membership & reduced climbing fees, they requested an extension and it was definitely worth the wait.

Find out more about the Climbing Association on their website here – and sign up through the Cariboo Memorial Complex.
