The Chimney & Felker Lakes Landholders Association is a small community in the Chimney Valley, an area with potential for interface wildfire activity. With no nearby fire or emergency services, the residents began to build our association and fire department in the 1970’s. We’ve come a long way with much thanks to grants, volunteers and donations.
Our volunteer fire department is extremely grateful for the continued support that it has received from the Williams Lake Community Forest.  With the donations received over the past few years, we have been able to convert a donated 1 ton pick up truck into a functional and well-equipped Wildland Fire and emergency response unit. The final addition of air bag suspension was completed with the donation received this year.
Our volunteer base increased this year by almost double. These individuals are training hard to provide our community with the emergency responses that may be required – fire, vehicle and medical.
Thank you to the Williams Lake Community Forest for helping us continue to serve with confidence!
